Join in for morning teas, singalongs, games, and regular outings or simply stroll the gardens or sit in sunny lounges with friends.

The library and lounge provide peaceful spaces to read, reflect, or catch up with a friend over tea.
At Elmswood, every day is yours to shape. Some residents like to start the morning with a stroll through the gardens or a quiet read in the lounge. Others look forward to shared lunches, live music, or afternoon games.
There’s always something happening if you’d like company, and plenty of peaceful spots when you’d rather unwind. Whether it’s a chat over tea, an outing in our village van, or simply enjoying the sunshine, you decide how involved you want to be, with friendly faces never far away.

There’s always something happening at Elmswood, and plenty of room for your own ideas too. Join our men’s chat group, attend church services, or drop in for the weekly social hour. Enjoy visiting entertainers, or settle in for a quiet game of bridge, mahjong, or Scrabble. Knitters gather regularly, and new clubs are always welcome, if you’ve got an interest to share, we’ll help you get it started.

We are so pleased with our choice of retirement village. Important to us long term, was that Elmswood offers levels of care from independent living to hospital level all set amongst neatly kept colourful gardens. We all watch out for each other here and help where we can with the many excellent village activities. It is entirely up to each resident which activity they participate in. The staff from top down is second to none - exceptional in fact - remembering each resident by name. This truly is a village in every sense of the word.

I find the staff very polite, considerate and caring. When asked to do something, it is done immediately. Nothing is ever a bother, and all the staff are very polite, friendly and concerned for one’s welfare.

My precious mum has been in the care of Elmswood for the past 3 years. In that time, her care has been faultless, as working in Older People's Health, my expectations are very high. If there are any issues, I find the staff, from Management to the Carers on the floor, always listen and have solutions to make sure my mum is not only well cared for but also happy. I am so grateful for the excellent care, kindness, activities, meals, and medical care she gets everyday.
